Herman discovers he's the new lord of Munster Hall in England. The family sails to Britain, where they receive a tepid welcome from Lady Effigy and Freddie Munster, who throws tantrums because he wasn't named Lord Munster. An on-board romance had blossomed between Marilyn and Roger, but on land Marilyn discovers Roger's family holds a longstanding grudge against the Munsters. Herman upholds the family honor in an auto race; he and Grandpa also unlock "the secret of Munster Hall."

Oh yes, the famous Drag-ula car! I dig this movie its pretty fun and when it's hosted by Sven the bits get crazy in all the right ways. You can not beat sitting back after shopping all the small business near you today and watching our favorite family while sipping on some cider.

Don't forget to join my next week as we celebrate Creepmas and bring a little bit of Halloween into the Christmas season. Also, if your feeling a little bored you can check out my review of Munsters, Go Home way back in 2009 here.

“Munster Go Home” homes in on MeTV tonight at 10 pm eastern/pacific, 9 pm central. If you’re unsure when we’re on, check your local listings for the time in your area- or, go to www.metvnetwork.com. Chicago area viewers can get a second helping of the “Deadly Mantis” (do sweet potatoes go with that?) at 11 am on our sister station, WCIU, the U!

I love Deadly Mantis one of my favorite SciFi movies! How do you guys feel about Munsters, Go Home? And let me know if you watched tonight's show. (I still have to wait a week)

Please pass the wine!

Happy Thanksgiving From Bob at the Man Cave! Now please try not to shop today and be with family. It's bad enough my wife is sleeping now at 1 in the afternoon so she can work tonight at midnight!

The Park is Open

Jurassic World
2015 | Color | 124 Min | 2.00:1 | PG-13 | Dolby | Action | Universal

Director: Colin Trevorrow

Writers:
Rick Jaffa
Amanda Silver

Stars:
Chris Pratt
Bryce Dallas Howard
Ty Simpkins

22 years after the original Jurassic Park failed, the new park (also known as Jurassic World) is open for business. After years of studying genetics, the scientists on the park genetically engineer a new breed of dinosaur. When everything goes horribly wrong, will our heroes make it off the island?

Sense movie making is a team effort you have to give its nod's to the whole crew on this one. From all those glorious easter eggs to an amazing looking world you are transported into. Can you really say anything bad about this movie? Jurassic World is an amazing movie just like it's older brother Jurassic Park.

Sorry Bruce
The location and the mood set by JW have to be one of the biggest stars. Don't get me wrong the Dinosaurs are great and I will get to that. But the way Jurassic World wrap's you into is environment makes you feel safe and warm just like being at Disney World even though you know all hell is going to break loose at some point. The story is very believable as well giving you the hints at mad scientist going where no man should go like they did in the first movie. I also enjoyed the new soundtrack and how they used the cues from the main JP theme in the undertones of the score.

...The Human Experiment

The human experiment!

The amazing living puppets of Andre Toulon have a new master. In a desperate attempt to duplicate the great Puppet Master’s work, Dr. Magrew has been experimenting with his human assistants, but Hell is about to break loose.

As captives in Dr. Magrew’s “House of Marvels,” the puppets have watched silently as lives have been destroyed with every failed experiment. Now, the deadly puppets’ hunger for revenge is the only way to stop the legacy of evil.

So in an attempt to finish the Puppet Master franchise by the end of the year I better get going. I have always heard negative things about David DeCoteau's Curse of the Puppet Master so let's take a look shall we?

Oh, God!

Not a lot of time to run out to thrift stores and well garage sale season is over, but I did manage to pick a few things up. First up...

Oh, God starring George Burns, we watched this movie so many times on HBO that I'm pretty sure I will know it line by line still. Growing up was so much fun when you could watch this followed by Poltergeist. Next up and staying on the religious theme this VHS caught my eye.

The first thing that called my name was Hanna-Barbera and then to see Vincent Price along with Helen Hunt!! Sold!! I'm not familiar with this show and I'm one of those that does believe in Christmas and not just the presents aspect I'm looking forward to watching this. (After Thanksgiving of course) And while in the VHS section how could I pass up on this,

Nobody can go wrong with a little Hello Kitty and Christmas and it was only a quarter so this cheap ass had no problem picking it up. I'm sure the girls will be watching this soon. So that is it nothing to great so for now I just need to get a RED cup of coffee and settle into to some Christmas Cheer.

A few more Halloween Leftovers

A few more Halloween Leftovers during Hallowvember, And with 60mph winds and dark skies today seems like a great day to fire up a scary movie or Halloween special.

VHS Wednesday with the Duckmen

Duckmen 9 Bloodline
2005 | Color | 70 Min | 1.33:1 | PG | Stereo | Sports | Duck Commander

From the flooded timber of Louisiana to the corn fields of Washington State and on to Montana, join the family of Duckmen as they pursue their first love- DUCKS. Listen to their exact hen calling skills and watch in awe at their phenomenal shooting skills. The Duckmen are a breed apart, for sure! Become one with them as they do what they to best- CHASE 'EM DUCKS!

Ok, Ok calm down and admit it most of you watched the train wreck tv show Duck Dynasty. I don't watch much TV and I watched the dang show. So when I found an odd looking VHS tape with them on it before they were stars I thought hey why not! The first five minutes fills the screen with ducks floating in the air and then suddenly falling from the sky. At first I thought hey not bad these boys can really shoot. Then more of the same for almost ten minutes now. Hmm, I'm not much of a hunter and I seem to have been wrong about this tape.

A Man Cave Rewind: Ultraman!

Stars:

The series begins when the heroic alien Urutoraman pursues an alien menace to Earth. In the pursuit, he collides with Hiyata, an officer of the Science Patrol who is investigating the chase. To make amends for the accident, the alien gives his life force to the human along with his regular form and powers should he ever need it. Thus, Hiyata is returned to Earth alive and merged with the alien. This linking proves to be a most fortuitous event as the monster being pursued is but the first of a wave of destructive monsters and aliens that attack the planet.

Hiyata investigates sightings of these beasts as part of the Patrol who fights these threats with the advanced weapons at their disposal. However, the monsters often prove too strong for the Earth forces to stop. When that happens, Hiyata uses a beta capsule given to him by the alien. When he activates it, he transforms into the giant superhero, Urutoraman, who has the power necessary to protect Earth.

Sometimes the women in this house just take over. I guess that happens when your out numbered. So I always take the time to head down to the Cave and hang out in peaceful nerd nirvana. So last night I was feeling a little nostalgic looking for something to watch. I'm not ready for all the Christmas junk just yet so when I stumbled on to Ultraman I thought hey why not give this a go. I remember enjoying the show quite a bit when I was younger and wondered if the show aged well.

Trolls, Muppets and Ducks!

Time to get back to normal now that Halloween is over. Picked up some random things this past week. First up...

I could not pass up Troll 2 on Blu-Ray for $5.00! It is not that bad of a movie and a big part of our lifestyle. My wife grabbed 101 Horror Movies for me a great gift to cap off Halloween.

When Spiders Attack

So it was wet and kind of cold but never the less we had a great time out trick or treating in our neighborhood. I was playing around with our videos and made this little mock trailer using the footage from the day. Came out kind of cool let me know.

Make sure you watch it all the way to the end! Also, this video is from the whole night we uploaded it for the family to see so I thought I would share it with you as well. It's kind of long just over the 4:00-minute mark. I sure hope everybody had a wonderful fun filled Halloween!
